Elizabeth Carson is a National Yoga Alliance instructor who holds certifications in both Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga. Elizabeth was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida and attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
Elizabeth found yoga at a time in her life when a back injury precluded her from her normal running and gym routine. She came to the mat with a skeptical mind and made it clear to her teachers that she was “just in it for the workout”. However, it was not long until she began to notice the positive impact her practice was making in all areas of her life. She found an overall sense of contentment and began to enjoy life in a whole new way. Suddenly, the mini nap at the end of class no longer seemed like the longest five minutes ever! The list could go on and on with all the different ways yoga changed her life, but let it suffice to say that she found herself trading in her running shoes for a yoga mat.
Living her own transformation, she knew she wanted to share what she had found on her mat. After a few months of nurturing a dedicated practice, Elizabeth jumped right into a teacher training and began teaching in November 2011. She is fortunate enough to have studied under and be inspired by teachers Karen Burnett, Judy Weaver, and James Kigar.
Her passion for yoga is evident in her classes where her students experience a physical challenge, cultivating awareness in the body and mind.
