Sarah Granato

I recall the moment I fell in love with teaching yoga. It was during my teacher training and one of our exercises was to lead a centering. I said something like, ‘Close your eyes. Take a deep breath in… and exhale’. The change I observed from such a simple instruction was miraculous. I could actually feel the energy shift in that single breath. I knew from that point on I wanted to offer that transformation to as many people as I could.

I set an intention at the beginning of every class to teach from a place of love. Yoga found me when I was struggling and provided me with these incredible teachings of self-care, balance, awareness and strength. The physical practice of yoga opens my eyes to the wonder of the body, it’s capabilities and potential. The spiritual practice is one of living my Truth and constantly enlightens and challenges me.

Teaching yoga inspires me to be a lifelong student of the practice. I studied at the Kailash Tribal School of Yoga and Holistic Healing in Mcleodganj, India, and received my advanced 500 hr E-RYT® certification. I am certified in Prenatal yoga (Integral Yoga NYC) and Kid’s yoga (Karma Kid’s Yoga NYC). I teach Vinyasa for all levels as well as Yin and Restorative. I find great joy in working with those new to yoga. I’m also a Reiki Master, having completed Levels I, II, and III.

I co-owned Finding Sukha Yoga School in the East Village before relocating to South Florida. I am the luckiest mom of two incredible girls who will always be my greatest teachers. I currently conduct Prenatal teacher trainings privately and with small groups.

Sarah believes that EVERY BODY (she has taught students age 3 to 93) can benefit from yoga. Her classes are designed to find a balance between strength and release, effort and ease. Sarah invites her students to explore the physical, mental and spiritual intention of their own personal practice.
